The car needs a new head gasket.
Amir Zghidi
Hi Amir,
The cost of replacing the head gasket on your Mercedes will come down to parts and labor. Here's what you can expect to pay on average:
Parts= $40-$130 depending on the quality of the gasket.
Labor= 2-3 hours $150-$320 depending on the shop's hourly rate and the skill of the mechanic.
Total= $190-$450+
Keep in hind that if the head gasket is blown you will probably need new manifold, valve, etc... gaskets, hence the picture of the cylinder head gasket kit.
