High pitched noises and vibration coming from the front left when brakes are applied.

Hi Nick,
It sounds like you need some new brake pads. Replacing your brake pads is a fairly easy fix that shouldn't eat up too much time. The cost of the repair will come down to parts and labor. Here's what you can expect to pay on average:
Parts= $35-$92 a set depending on the quality of the pads.
Labor= 1.5-2 hours $100-$175 depending on the shop's hourly rate and the skill of the mechanic.
Total= $135-$267+
A lot of places will charge you a flat rate per wheel to replace the brake pads, which is usually around $50.
My advice is to try and find a shop that does the flat rate, because an hourly rate may end up costing you a lot more in the end.
