Unfortunately, re-manufacturing/rebuilding a transmission is an expensive and time consuming repair.

The cost of rebuilding your transmission will come down to parts and labor. Here's what you can expect to pay on average:

Parts= $210-$650 depending on the quality of the rebuild kit.

Labor= 4 hours- 1 day $250-$420 depending on the shop's hourly rate and the skill of the mechanic.

Total= $460-$1,070+

To be completely honest, you'll be lucky to get a price anywhere close to the lower end of this quote. Nine times out of 10 you'll be looking at a cost closer to the $1,000 range.
